A newly renovated visitor centre awaits its guests in Békés, Hungary

The much-anticipated event occurred in Békés last Tuesday, 7 June 2022. At the conference, Tibor Kálmán, Mayor of Békés, and László Török, Mayor of Salonta, presented the activities achieved during the project and the experiences of their journey so far.

The last step was getting the operating license. Now, being fully functional - the main building refurbished, including an interactive exhibition corner for children and a conference room for events, workshops and meetings - is open to the public. 

The interactive centre aims to give visitors all the necessary information about protected natural areas, local flora and fauna and make them more aware and responsible for our shared natural heritage.
